
Dr. Scott Smith has been in full-time clinical practice since 1993 and in his current King of Prussia location since 1997. He provides periodontal services, including dental implants, to our patients. He has lectured nationally on subjects including dental implants, perio-pathogenesis, surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy, and advanced clinical treatment planning. He is the director of the Valley Forge Dental Forum, which was founded to help educate area dentists and hygienists in their pursuit of excellence.
Dr. Smith has a bachelor of science degree in Honors Biochemistry from Pennsylvania State University and earned his DDS from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He also has a certificate in periodontology from the University of Maryland and Bethesda Naval Hospital. His additional education and training includes:
- Specialty training in facial esthetics from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and Robert Gordon, DDS, a leader in the art and science of lip and facial augmentation who is known as “Dr. Lips”
- Training in microcannula techniques from CosmoFrance Inc., a leading importer and distributor of European medical devices designed exclusively for non-surgical esthetic procedures
- Training in advanced laser skin treatment from Saratoga Aesthetics, a Las Vegas–based provider of medical esthetics systems and education
His awards and achievements include:
- Named one of Top Main Line Dentists by Main Line Today magazine every year since 2001
- Named Montgomery County’s Best Periodontist and Implant Specialist by The Times Herald, 2009 through 2015
- Has been featured on the Discovery Health Channel for his professional expertise in the field of implant dentistry and smile esthetics
